Encryption within NetLD

Modified on Thu, Jun 22, 2017 at 10:04 AM

NetLD does not have built in encryption support, but there are many ways for satisfying various security requirements. The most common security requirements for data encryption are "data at rest" and "data in transit" encryption.

  1. For data at rest security requirements, we recommend using disk encryption.
  2. For data in transit, netLD encrypts all communication between the main server and the SmartBridges using SSL as well as the web user interface. And all communication with devices can also be configured to use security protocols depending on what the individual devices support.
